Ayodeji Abodunde is the author of "A Heritage of Faith: A History of Christianity in Nigeria" (2009), which has been praised as the first overall treatment of the subject on a grand scale. He is also the author of "Messenger" (2016), a biography of Sydney Elton, the most influential Pentecostal missionary in Nigeria's history. For more than a decade, Ayodeji has tracked issues at the intersection of faith, culture, and leadership in Africa. He was a scholar-in-residence at the West Africa Theological Seminary, Lagos from 2012 to 2016. He presently lives in Lagos, Nigeria. You can explore more of his writings at
